This time around Craig and Sami were joined by Bryan Whitmarsh to talk about SUP and HTML5 development.

Season 1, Episode 3 – “SUP and HTML5″

The main questions picked as we recorded the podcast were:

  • Can NetWeaver Mobile and SUP handle device agnostic HTML5 applications.

Bryan recommends the following videos for more information:

This video demonstrates how SAP’s Sybase Unwired Platform (SUP) can be used to generate a Workflow application for a mobile device without requiring any programming (iPhone shown). The consumption of a simple weather web service is used in this demo as a Proof of Concept.

Keep the questions, suggestions and requests coming!

  1. Very nice work,

I have a question about iphone simulator, In which OS are you running the simulator.? Is that part SUP Platform or is it 3rdParty you can install on SUP to test applications ?

    Thanx in Advance

  2. @ Tahir, iOS simulator is run using Xcode installed on a Macintosh system .
The iOS simulator is not a part of SUP. But even I am uncertain about how we integrate the SUP with the
Xcode IDE. As far as I know SUP also provides MDM support for generating Obj C codes for mobile application templates.
