Craig has a chat with Denis Browne, Bjoern Goerke and Hervé Couturier about how they are not only enabling innovation within the company but also the culture of innovation and pulling our customers and partners into it as well.
I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Madeleine Doucet in Orlando at SAPPHIRE NOW, she is the VP Business Technology at La Vie En Rose. La Vie En Rose happens to also be a SAP Business Objects customer.
We discussed why she came to SAPPHIRE NOW as well as the path that lead them there as well as the path they are working towards as they begin to think towards the future. With 153 retail stores in Canada and 60 international and eyes on more, the path ahead is clear and now it’s time to see where and how the technology is going to help them achieve their goals.
Mico Yuk from EverythingXcelsius also joined us to share her thoughts on the SAPPHIRE NOW event.
Jon Reed from JonERP.com came on the show as we finished up SAPPHIRE NOW to share his thoughts on the event, have a listen.
I just had the pleasure of chatting with Sanjay Poonen about his new role at SAP and his vision moving forward, how he’s building his team and working with them to effect change and of course around innovation and how how SAP “can’t talk to our customers enough”. Two comments he made that really caught my attention was the fact that he tweeted us chatting before we started and that he was glad to participate because you need to remember to include your community!
SAP today launched SAP NetWeaver Gateway technology, an open, standards-based framework for extending the reach of its business software to an exponentially larger number of users, developers and environments. SAP NetWeaver Gateway enables customers to free up their SAP applications from the confines of the desktop and access them from any environment, tool or device. In addition, the technology enables developers to create new applications using the development tools of their choice. Read the press release.
I was finally able to grab a few moments with a good friend Gunther Schmalzhaf to talk about the new things coming from SAP on the infrastructure side of the Cloud equation.
Craig and Sami are joined by Stan Stadelman to talk all about the launch of SUP 2.0 and the JavaScript and HTML containers supporting HTML5.
Season 1, Episode 6 – “SUP 2.0″
Sybase Unwired Platform is a mobile enterprise application platform that enables enterprise developers to simply and quickly build applications that connect business data to mobile workers on any device, at any time.
Question of the podcast from Nilay Ghosh, (see about 1 min and 15 seconds into podcast)
how to do team based development where a pool of developers will develop mobile application/prototype in Sybase Unwired Workspace installed in their respective laptop but will deploy it in the central SUP server. I am looking for something similar to using NWDS for development and directly deploying to a central SAP WAS.
how is the version management (something similar to using NWDI) done in case multiple developers are working on a same project, something like check-in, check-out
