SAP today announced the renewal of its reseller partnership with IBM for the IBM SPSS Modeler solution. Available today, SAP is reselling IBM’s solution globally under the name, “SAP BusinessObjects Predictive Workbench software by IBM.” The agreement replaces the previous one between leading statistical software provider SPSS and Business Objects, existing before the companies were acquired by IBM and SAP respectively. SAP today announced the 8.81 release of the SAP Business One application, designed to help small businesses grow. The new release features improvements that SAP is adding across its various product lines, including mobility, ease in development of partner applications and social networking. SAP today announced the general availability of SAP HANA appliance software to customers globally, heralding a new generation of analytics, business applications and IT simplification with SAP in-memory computing technology. First conceived last spring, SAP HANA was delivered to select customers in November 2010 and today is made generally available as promised. SAP HANA is one of the fastest growing sales pipelines for new products in SAP’s history.
The drumbeat around SAP NetWeaver 7.3 began in October 2010 at SAP TechEd in Berlin, when SAP announced that the first full release of the technology platform in five years was being made available to a first wave of customers.
